Hyma has been a social worker and activist for the last 16 years. A former teacher, she has worked with various organisations in the areas of housing rights and for the rights of girl children, particularly as a fieldworker. She currently works as a Field Coordinator in the Montfort Social Institute in its Housing Rights Network, working for the rights of slum communities in Hyderabad to adequate and safe housing and the city’s resources. Hyma is also involved in coordinating various other projects at MSI.

 

As part of the WorkFREE Team, Hyma plays a vital role as a Community Program Facilitator in engaging with the WorkFREE communities through establishing connections with them and facilitating regular interaction and the work of the research team.
