Vivek Joseph

Vivek is an ethnographer and qualitative researcher whose areas of interest lie at the intersections of religion, caste, gender and development. A postgraduate in Development Studies from SOAS, University of London, his work primarily focuses on the experiences of marginalised and minority communities in southern India, particularly in Telangana.

At the Montfort Social Institute, Vivek is the Program Coordinator of the WorkFREE Project, acting as MSI’s interface with the WorkFREE communities on the one hand and with the research team on the other. He facilitates the implementation of the project on the ground as well as the work of the research team as the project proceeds. Vivek also handles the documentation and communication of MSI’s various other programmes.
